The Koolmat Starter Cover is designed to protect against extreme heat caused by engine headers and starting system issues. Excessive heat can affect the solenoid and lead to unreliable starts—but wrapping the starter with Koolmat and securing it with the included strap helps insulate the casing, reducing heat transfer and preventing solenoid interference.
By keeping the starter cooler, this cover helps ensure consistent, reliable performance every time you turn the key.
